Bacon Wrapped Avocado

This app isn’t a combination of foods I imagine many people have come across often, if at all. Which is great, and a reason to continue checking back at OurCountertop to see what we have in store for you next!

Emma and I have been embarking on a low carb diet the past few weeks, and with that we have been racking our brains for new ideas while following a diet that limits what we are able to eat. With this challenge, comes an opportunity to try new things and new combinations of things that we may have never come up with have not been on this new journey.

We’ve said before in past posts, guacamole added to anything will make said dish better. For this recipe, we created a simple healthy snack that combines guacamole’s maker, the humble avocado, with none other than delicious bacon. The creaminess that is an avocado plays a perfect foil to the salty, porky, crispy bacon – the result, an addicting marriage of foods that most love but don’t love together.

Although I’m not a ranch lover like Emma does, I must admit, these taste delicious dipped in your favorite brand of ranch.

Give these a shot at your super bowl party in a few weeks and let us know the reaction you get from friends and family! Enjoy!
